Matthew Marquardt

Having recently been appointed the first executive director of the Saint Monica Institute for Education and Evangelization of the Archdiocese of Toronto, Matthew is in the process of winding down a business law practice of more than 26 years. His commitment to social justice led him to found the Catholic Conscience civic evangelization initiative, with which he remains active as president and senior policy analyst. Matthew is an active member of Saint Patrick’s parish in downtown Toronto, a lay associate of the Redemptorists, and a member of several secular and religious boards. Most importantly, he is father to two fine children and aspires to be as good a spouse to his wife Lisa as she is to him.
